This new addition to my site was taken from a section of a bridge on the way into Rodley Nature Reserve as with most of the good ones just spotted it as I was walking past and had to take a shot of it.

This new one features riveted rusty metal with detailed cracked and peeling paint off it, good detail on this one and cool colours.

I’ve got loads more metal and cracked paint textures also available on my site that might might also be of interest.

I’ll be taking some more larger shots next time I’m there, hopefully with slightly better light.

Another rubber tyre texture taken from shots of an old tyre tread. Quiet a good patterned texture and on 100 percent magnification there are loads of detailed cracks in the rubber along with perishing rubber and slight hints of green moss that has started growing on the tread.

Got a few of these that I like added already in the Rubber Textures section, and am planning to get more added soon I have loads of shots but, I personally find the tread pattern quite ‘standard’ and am more inspired by the old split, rotting or new shiny elements.

This should be an interesting textures section to develop.

An interesting pressed wood texture, really like the patterns on this one. The photograph is taken from the reverse side of a sheet of hardboard and features the markings that are left when compressing the board, these almost create a checker-plate style.

This one as with all the new additions to the site is a large texture and looks good zoomed out and also shows lots of details when zoomed in, this one has some good pitted areas along with fine wood fibres.

Another cracked tyre texture taken from a stack of old tyres. Love the contrast between the grooves of the tyre and the cracks that have appeared over the years. A nice detailed shot with a good variety of texture.

Description: This new oak wood grain texture is taken from a shot of a recently chopped tree stump, love the swirly patterns that are going on in the grain of the wood.

Quite a detailed shot with a good variety of colors and I think it works well when zoomed in and when zoomed out. There are lots more wood textures also available on my site that may be of interest.

Description: Old tyre texture again taken from recent photographs taken at the farm, love this new one loads of details when zoomed out and when on 100% magnification. The old tyre texture is covered in cracks and the surface of the rubber is decayed with hints of green and moss has started to grow on it. Description: This pitted rust texture is taken from photographs of the side of an old cast iron bath that has been stood outside in a field for years. There is deep pitting of the metal which makes a great grunge style texture.

I’ll be featuring this one in an up coming tutorial, this one looks amazing on hundred percent zoomed in, lots and lots of detail on this one, should look great as on overlay image in photoshop with a multiply setting.
