Cracked Paint on Metal Texture

This new addition to my site was taken from a section of a bridge on the way into Rodley Nature Reserve as with most of the good ones just spotted it as I was walking past and had to take a shot of it.
This new one features riveted rusty metal with detailed cracked and peeling paint off it, good detail on this one and cool colours.
I’ve got loads more metal and cracked paint textures also available on my site that might might also be of interest.
I’ll be taking some more larger shots next time I’m there, hopefully with slightly better light.

This rusted white paint texture is taken from a boarded up window near to where I live, the guy came out of the building and spotted me taking the shot, got quite a funny look… I like this one, good selection of thin rust, should be a good overlay or can just be used as a grunge styled background, quite detailed.
Getting quite a collection of different types of Rusty Metal Textures now and will be adding lots more over the next few weeks. Hope you guys like this addition to the site.

Description: A black cracked paint texture again photographed on the farm. This one is shot from a close up of one of the old shed doors and features a mix of wood and peeling black paint, quite interesting that the paint has followed the grain of the wood. There are lots more paint textures also available on my site, that might also be of interest.

Description: Done a few alterations on this cream peeling paint texture as well, The original photograph features the cream paint on a very light sun bleached panelled wood, it looked quite washed out, so I have duplicated the layer up and using multiply boosted the colour value and then added a subtle border edge to the image. This new version is far more striking, also like the contrast between the blue and the cream colours.

Description: After chatting with some friends I have decided to add some of the slightly altered texture shots and alter them slightly to make them better. This one is an example of some of the new ones that will be featured soon. This grunge cracked paint texture has been altered to bring out and highlight some of the great colours in the shot.
This hi res texture one features grungy cracked paint and rusty patches, lots of detail on this one, hope you guys like this addition, comments on altering the textures are welcome.

Description: A detailed shot of a large crack on masonry stone paint, this cracked paint texture is good for overlaying to create a grunge textured image, the best setting I found in photoshop was having it on ‘multiply’ (that’s in the layer settings) that lets the texture become kind of transparent.

Description: This grunge aged wood texture doesn’t look like much to start with but if you alter the layer settings in Photoshop to ‘multiply’ ‘overlay’ or ‘linear light’ it come in to its own, my favourite is the linear light, brings out the depth of the texture and is great for overlaying to add that grungy feel to an image.
This grungy wood texture was photographed from some old painted wood, some of the paint had worn off and cracks in the wood are showing through.

Description: Grunge peeled paint texture taken from photos of a section of an RJS. This one features lots of cracked paint, some of this has traces of lichen growing on it.
